Finally, a power button!!!
by sevanthson May 9, 2005 4:03 PM PDT
They should have updated their current model with a remote power
button years ago!!
Well, that's typical Microsoft for you!!
I really like the nice shiny, smooth, white acrylic surface. It reminds
me a lot of their iPods. I guess they want to create a 'look' for all of
their consumer electronic offerings... oh, wait... I guess the XBOX
division has photocopiers, too!!!

yes, iPod-like but not Apple!

I'll make this easy for you: Microsoft makes the XBox, Apple makes the i-Pod. They are competitors.

(Prelude when the Empire comes into focus)

well, you bet your booty sock that those peripherals are "extras", as
usual. Hopefully we will still get the one controller at least.

Fugly

Microsoft needs to hire better industrial designers. This thing is hideous. Way to copy Apple, and copy poorly. I wonder how long it'll take that conroller to turn a dingy brown after a bunch of sweaty, grungy hands grip that thing for hours on end.

iBox or Xbox
by May 10, 2005 7:23 PM PDT
Looks to me like Microsoft has done it again (ripping off other
company's ideas/creations/looks) cause that thing looks so
much like something created by Apple if I didn't know better I
would swear Job's was back working with Bill. I don't know why
they took so long to name it cause iBox clearly fits.

IBOX? why?

what, does it look like an ipod because it's white? cause that is the only similarity i see. I don't think color should determine who they are trying to copy here. I guess you could say they are copying a refigerator too if color means anything.
I think they chose to make it white because it will stick out from the black tv stand, black tv, black VCR/DVD player, and black stereo.
I don't see people accusing the old Xbox, and ps2 from looking like either of these, or the gamecube from looking like one of my kid's fisher price toy.
Color doesn't mean anything.

Bland

It looks bland but the thing thy arnt telling u is that it will probably customizable with skins...like the ones just released for the Original XBOX... If you could buy it in multiple colors...Microsoft would see alot more. How do you think the Gameboy Advance sold so much :)
