Very Cool

Leave it to Apple to do the coolest, but in a way that is simple to use.

Stuff that just works, with the users in mind.

Forget the music

The AirTunes feature is great, but what's even greater is this
thing's potential impact in the wireless field. A base station the
size of an iPod that creates a wireless network anywhere without
setup is ingenious. And only $129.

My only question is, will a Mac be needed to set up the wireless
internet, or can it be done with a PC too? Certainly some
features will require a Mac, as this is how AirPort works.

PCs too

I take back what I said. The AirPort Express can be set up and
maintained on a PC as well.

The AirTunes and Sonos products both are cool, but on the sonos website it claims that $1199 is a package price for 2 wireless players and 1 wireless controller not just one player, still kind of pricey, but it looks like it works on both Mac and PC

AirTunes with Quicktime Support Next?
by Terrence Koonce June 7, 2004 9:46 PM PDT
Imagine being able to watch all those Quicktime Movie Trailers
that are now in iTunes with a version of iTunes that is viewed on
your TV? Or how about being able to download complete Music
Videos at 99 cents a video or being able to see the album covers
on your TV as you listen to a song in iTunes?

Imagine being able to listen to all those AAC protected songs on
a new Apple Networked Media Player, with no hard drive, but a
device that streams all your music and videos from your Mac or
PC in MP3, AAC or Quicktime format? Watch out MTV!

How about watching all the latest Movie Trailers or exclusive
releases on your TV for free (with ads), per download or by a
subscription (to remove ads)? This would save us the $7.50 a
ticket may of us pay just to see a 2 minute exclusive movie
trailer at the theatre months before the movie is to be released.

Wouldn't all this be AWESOME? WELL GET READY!!
