Isolated Problems?
by VelvetAddiction October 27, 2005 5:59 PM PDT
The problems are NOT isolated, not by a long shot. Just go to any Itunes, or Apple message board and you will read hundreds of posts from people who are experiencing this problem. I have a third generation 15g Ipod and made the mistake of upgrading. This thing is a replacement Ipod and only 2 weeks old, I've purchased $50 in music that I can't load onto my Ipod because my Ipod is no longer recognized by my computer or Itunes. Sure it charges just fine, but it won't recognize it to transfer music or to upgrade the Ipod, or restore it. So basically I've just been screwed. Can anyone say CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT! I've tried every single remedy given by Apple and not one of them has worked. They better fix this fast. I will never buy another Ipod...neva eva eva! Because if this is how you treat loyal customers, I'd hate to see how you treat enemies.

Ipod Firmware Problems
by Princesserinl December 28, 2005 8:55 PM PST
I did an update on my Ipod & the damn thing crashed. I'm hearing this is happening to a lot of people. I'm going to have to send it in to be fixed. It's driving me nuts not being able to listen to my tunes. I'm telling people to avoid Ipods.

iPod Updating
by Steve415 February 22, 2006 4:33 PM PST
Recently my sister and I have been experiencing problems with updating our iPods. When we plug them into our computer, they charge, but they don't update. Up until reading this article, I tried almost everything. I have called into Apple and have done everything they have told me. This article now makes perfect sense. About two weeks ago I downloaded the new iTunes and ever since we have not been able to update. I would like for you to please keep me informed on when Apple is going to fix this problem.

Unaware of Problem at Apple Tech Support
by Gary Kuta April 8, 2006 11:39 AM PDT
I've been wrestling with this issue for the last three days, and
finally gave up, and called Apple Support.

EVERYONE that i spoke to says that they are unaware of a
problem. They are going as far as to tell me that I'm better off
buying a new iPod, because the cost for service will be in-line
with the cost of a new one. I didn't bother with the extended
"Protection Plan," and my iPod is a 16-months old. I for one
cannot afford to spend $300-400 every year or so for a new
iPod.

I hope that Apple is circling their wagons, to remedy this
problem, because I am asked by at least one middle agedco-
worker a week about my iPod. So far nothing but positive
feedback. That could tell.

The iPod Updater problem is for real - DO NOT do it!

'updating iPod' takes more than 16 hours already
by siebellucent July 15, 2007 9:32 AM PDT
I have a iPod nano 4G. I downloaded the new iTune and started updating iPod Software yesterday afternoon and it has been running for more than 16 hours and it is not done yet.

The iTune is freezing on my PC and the iPod just flash "do not disconnect." screen.

How can this take so long? Is this right?
