The only problems with LCD TVs at the present time are:
1) Price / Area is still higher than Plasma
2) Dead Pixels
3) Refresh times still higher than Plasma or CRT
With costs and refresh rates improving, the only barrier left for LCD domination is the random Dead Pixel issue.
Once LCDs achieve the price/performance curve Plasma screens enjoy, then it will be the end for Plasma Screen TVs.

LCD's are slow, cant control the on/off time, require alot of energy, generate alot of heat, and fragile devices.

- ..too expensive. I can buy a 19" tube for $100, and the display doesn't "ghost".
