so they're finally catching-up with the Koreans who, last I heard, were already conducting trials for 4G....and the US doesn't even really have 3G yet. great.

LTE will be commercialized in 2015

It is still a far cry from being closer! LTE is purely a theoreticl concept that gives big guys like AT&T and Verzion a good excuse why they are not in a hurry to adopt 4G. Korea has a market success of mobile WiMAX now, with KT and SK Telecom as dominant players.
