That's why Frucall uses voice for m-commerce

I agree to some extent. I would say it depends, some people like browsing on small screen, some don't. Currently - specially in the US - people are not generally cmfortable with the concept. That's why we use voice for our mobile compariosn shopping service (Frucall - http://www.frucall.com), and we have a roadmap of SMS and WAP so that we provide a "migration path" for the consumer.

all phone browsers are a nightmare - not only is the screen too small but the numeric keypad is hopeless for text editing on line. can't we just have a simple machine that just browses?
dotMobi to make mobile browsing easier?
by ecacofonix July 15, 2006 6:08 AM PDT
On a side note, the dotMobi mTLD (mobile top level domain) has just been released and is in the sunrise registration period...the promise of dotMobi is to ensure that those sites with dotMobi extension will be tuned to mobile browsing...

one can expect a number of .mobi web sites - those that conform with standards for mobile browsing - to be online starting Oct 2006

More info on dotMobi can be found at Mobinomy.com - http://www.mobinomy.com , this site also plans to start a dotMobi directory soon
