Yahoo does charge for POP3 access

Since last month, Yahoo charges for POP3 access. This functionality is available only for Yahoo Mail Plus users.

The author meant to say you can download e-mail from other pop3 accounts to your yahoo mail account.

I too understood it as you did the first time I read it. I checked myself and realized I read it incorrectly.

Google is rolling the POP access in phases. If you haven't recieved that access as of yet keep ya panties on.
