here in PR, TMobile have a good cellphone rate: 39.99 for unlimited call and included long distance(US) and 49.99 unlimited call with roaming, so you can go to the US and they can't charge you roaming in the US. 49.99 plus 20.00 unlimited data and text msgs = 69.99 in the month

I was never impressed by the G1 and I dont think the MyTouch is going to do much more to impress me. I think its a bit sad that you can't get a BB Bold or iPhone with T-mobile and they just keep rolling out Android phones. Not everyone is going gaga over these exactly, and I think they will keep losing customers if they dont have a decent phone lineup. Having said that, their customer service is still better and after all the ATT horror stories, I can't switch. Damned if you do, damned if you dont I guess...

Synthmeister......... Is there not a mute button on the Iphone? If you buy the Iphone outright do you need to connect it to you PC and Itunes? Look it up. Uninformed. Let me know when the Iphone gets Adobe flash. maybe on it next version. LOL

I had some first hand exp today as our store finally got one of these, its actually a pretty sweet phone :) the bright crystal clear screen is what got me the most, its just gorgeous, Just a matter of choice really, not sure why people compare handsets and put one another down, sure the name could have been better but i guess mytouch@3g could have been better or something of the sorts...to the comment above T-mobile lets you bring your Iphones over if you want, we dont stop you from doing that nor anyone that I know wouldnt help you set it up with us, on the contrary to att where we constantly get angry people telling us that att told them that they dont support the hardware and they would have to get a att phone....even though the phone is unlocked. I would say T-mo is going open source judging by what ive seen in our line up. =) good day.

I'm in the UK and have just got one of these (sold exclusively through Vodafone but they have left the device with it's dignity and kept it's orignal manufacturers name of 'HTC Magic' (it's also called the Google Ion in some places.)
Anyway i have to say i am devout Nokia fan and have had dozens of them, and have also toyed with a few Windows Mobile devices in my time. I have played with the iPhone and some of my mates have them and love them. I have to say i am hugely impressed and surprised with the Magic, i got it free on an 18 month contract with the intention of selling it on, but i'm pretty sure i am going to keep it and love it.
The interface is smooth, the Market (app store) is massive (especially compared to the Ovi Nokia attempt) and mostly free, I am loving the quality feel and bright clear screen. But mostly i think i love it because it is different and unusual. It has a growing user base and a growing developer environment, and is lovely to use.
I believe I am convert to the Magic and to Android. (Sorry Nokia)

I am curious - is there any place other than the Android Store and GetJar.com to get Android software?

It's a great offering that T-Moble allows customization right at store level . It makes it difficult to choose how many apps and which ones to have on there. I find it amazing how many applications have been developed especially in the LBS market as well as how many "App" stores or "Market Places" have sprung up. This app Sherpa that is featured here is a pretty good one, but has too many limitations.
Among others like Googles Lattitude, Cellflare, GoTraxx, Track em, Loopt and the list goes on give you plenty of choices to be able to locate people and places with your phone. It's an amazing world we live in. .

I am an iphone developer, but seriously I hate apple for many reasons. one of them is they don't pay developers's money and never respond to any calls/emails. i wish all the developers pull all the apps out of the app store, so they cannot brag anymore about billion downloads, and no way to rip off developers. I just started android development, actually started yesterday, I'm sure google is a very good corporate company and they treat people professionally. once i'm used to android development, i'll pull all of my 25+ apps from apple
