Purely a lack of phones. T-mobile has released, I believe, only two phones of consequence in THE LAST YEAR: Shadow and Curve (which all the other carriers have). Also, TMO's Curve has no GPS (stupid). Nothing else of consequence and, given that people are constantly looking for the next big thing in phones, TMO just isn't doing it. HTC will make any phone available for TMO that TMO wants, but the marketing folks at TMO have their heads in the sand. I'm switching to Verizon or ATT this month, simply because I can't bear to stay with TMO and their 200 MHz windows phones that have SLOW processors, crawl when you get more than 1 or 2 apps open, lack up-to-date UI features, and lack GPS. I don't keep my phones for more than 1 year, so TMO is behind the curve on this one.
