Most VOIP services let you keep your existing number...

So, creditors couldn't tell whether you were using a land line or a VOIP phone.
i haven't had a home phone since dec/2003

comcast local phone went from $23 in 2000 to $31 a month by dec/2000. screw that. I got cable and ditch my home phone, and just used my cell.

i only have cable tv and cable internet.

So I can drop kick Cox Cable and their lying commericals out a side window. I'm sick of Cox and their games. We need some serious cable tv and internet competition in Las Vegas like yesterday.

Verizon has given no indication that they will offer Fios outside their home region.
And even that may end up being scaled back because of the high cost.
