Google Threat ????
by allanmendonca June 8, 2006 9:09 AM PDT
CIO Al-Noor Ramji is trying to elevate BT to Google's level by his comments. I think he needs several more caffeine stimulants to get his mind set to reality. I don't ever recall doing a web search using BT. Get real !!!!

I cant believe that BT can be dumb enough to publicly state that it finds Google as competition. Sure if google entered the telecom sector then it could find it as competition though even that would be exaggerated.

Get a grip, BT
by Barry Lane June 8, 2006 12:57 PM PDT
Ah, yes, BT... The company that believed they could take over the
world by providing ADSL for the download of video content, when
all we actually wanted was broadband to make using the web,
delivering and receiving data and news, faster and easier. Thanks
to British Telecom's failure to understand its own market, Web use
in the UK was held up by around four years, perhaps more. And
now they see Google as a threat? How dumb is this outfit? They're
charlatans and fools and should be taken over by someone with
real telecoms know-how.
