If you are going to state the new price offer you should have
included what the price becomes after the first year. Next time do
the full story.

what does it become?

I looked at the SBC website and it only says that after the year the rate becomes the "market rate" which for SBC means $26.

Of course, your contract lasts for only a year so if you don't like the market price following the promotional period you can just quit.

Before they offered $19/month DSL but you had to sign up for idiotic "all distance" program. There's no such requirement here, right?

Okay, to make this story "complete", what about listing the promotions / regular price / cancellation fee / equipment fee / Contract (Y/N) / customer feedback for all major DSL services in the US? And then how about adding information about all major Cable Internet Services int the US as well? Oh, sorry, that is not "complete" enough, I almost forget about the rest of the world :)
No churn?

Somebody from SBC was quoted that there is "no churn" with their DSL subscribers. I may be in the minority, but I definitely "churned". I took DSL service while I was in a temporary apartment, and had no problems with download speeds. When we bought a house and transferred our service, our D/L speed dropped from a guaranteed 1+Meg to about 150K. They forgot to mention that my new house was too far from the CO to get better than 192K D/L speeds, so I dropped SBC, held my nose and switched to Comcast Cable Internet service. It costs twice as much, but I get 3+Meg D/L speeds.

DSL will never have the traction cable has until they can provide competitive speeds to all their prospective customers.
