great idea

this phone is a great idea but the only problem your going to have is its not going to last because you cant recieve calls. the whole point in portable phones is to make out going calls and recieve them as well. it would be great for kids though thats another way you can make this phone a sucess. im sure alot of parents would love to buy there kids this phone.

disposalbe cell phones

one-way callout cheap long-lasting cell phones would cell like hot cakes in my opinion. Every child should have one as a safety device and every adult should have one in his/her evacuation kit. The key is that the battery life and usage should last for at least 2 years. Te main purpose of the phone is for emergency use only. Even if you have a cell phone, you would pack this one in your emergency kit and in the event your regular cell stops working or is stolen, you would always have this little security device with you. As of this date, despite advertisements to the contrary, I cannot find the one that was voted best invention of 2001 by Time Mag.
