Google desktop search had security holes. It is really not a big application!!!

Have you heard about click fraud!!! that google paid millions is a type of security issue!!

Google needs to Expand

There are three vital things that Google can do to topple microsoft in 3 steps:
1.G-Office , google's version of Office suite
2.G-systems, Google's new open source Operating System
3.G-Server, Google new Server Operating system.

End Result: Microsoft no longer exists by the Year 2020.

Google has smart guys working for it. But, microsoft is battle hardend for competition.

Microsoft software protfolio is very diversified.

Most of the great companies that failed against microsoft are those with great products but lousy marketing. Microsoft competitors missteps have led to microsoft dominance.

If you can guarantee that Google will not make missteps in next 15 years then it is possible to topple microsoft.

Microsoft also makes missteps but it has loads of cash on hand and it will adapt if it realises that the bottomline is getting affected (Eg:All the payouts to avoid lengthy legal battles and try to work with open source community in its own way!!!).

Microsoft is always right behind you competitor in areas that it is not number one!!!

What is the real difference between Google or Microsoft? Nothing, they are both Big corporations who want to take over one market after another to the determent of people (businesses) worldwide.
To say there is a real competition and difference between Google & Microsoft is like saying that there is real competition and difference between Exxon & Chevron.
Which is a meaning less competition and difference as far as the public is concerned.
I mean who gives a squat whether Exxon has top market share selling oil at $3 per Gallon or Chevron has top market share selling oil at $3 per Gallon.
The same nothing competition and difference is what exists between Google, Microsoft & Yahoo. That is the cost of advertising on Google is as high as Yahoo and MSN, acually even higher.

The only reason I guess Google rocks in the minds of some dorks is because of the Adsense where 1000s of web site owners who have nothing to sell, are making money off Google Adsense = Click fraud.

Right on with your analogy.
Really who cares about whether Google has a web browser or not, after all Firefox which is funded by AOL is pretty much Google browser, due to Billions of dollars of in investments that Google and Aol-Timewarner-Netscape have in one another.
Even more important than that is the fact there is no real difference between Google or MS or Yahoo, since they are all after owning as many eye balls as possible, making as much sales & profits as possible, at the expense of Millions of businesses worldwide.

What is needed are companies that make a real difference. And when it comes to search engine, only ANoox is making a real difference, because
1- It is not-for-profit, so cost of advertising through it is much less than Google or Yhoo
2- It's search results are better because they are optimized in real time by knowledge of the people
3- It is open & de-centralized, so not ANoox nor any one company controls all information

I love it, not-for-profit search engine. How much more different than that can you get?
