And what exactly did he do special with computer technology?

He may have been the first Pope to use computer technology but overall on a religion stand-point is far behind. The Mormon Church has been using the Internet for years upon years and has the entire membership online to communicate all over the world. They've been broadcasting live/recorded conferences through the Internet for years as well. The Mormon Church even has its own satellite. Hopefully I don't come across wrong, but the Pope didn't do anything amazing regarding computer technology use. I'm sure many other religious groups have done countless things as well.

While the Internet can never replace that profound experience of God which only the living, liturgical and sacramental life of the Church can offer, it can certainly provide a unique supplement and support in both preparing for the encounter with Christ in community, and sustaining the new believer in the journey of faith which then begins," the pontiff proclaimed at the 36th annual World Communications Day in 2002.

every religion and every sect proclaim the same stuff that only their teachings are gonna liberate humans. dont u think all these religious organizations are operating from the point of ego ? they want to make sure that their religion is followed by more people. none of these sects are gonna liberate the man. only a man who relinquishes all the sects is capable of finding what is truth or what is love. only that man can end the suffering and only that man is capable of showing compassion. If u see clearly all these religions breed only conflict in the human being. They talk about celibacy and hardly any one is really beyond sensations. liberatioon is not possible through following somebody. its possible only if u see the need for it and when u see the need for it then all the teachings are unnecessary. u will find it out yourself what is truth.
