I wish Porn was banned and filtered in the US

We're on such a slippery slope already...

A group calls for the banning of pornography. Once we are done with that, we start on other "offensive" material. Several books are banned because of "overly explicit" content. People are fired because what they say offends some minority group. Pretty soon, freedom of speech is a joke.

What you have to realize is that freedom of speech EXCEPT FOR OFFENSIVE MATERIAL is not freedom of speech at all. I think pornography damages our country. I think Howard Stern damages our country. I think television, for the most part, damages our country. But a country without freedom of speech is worse than a country that has to put up with "offensive" speech... far worse IMO.

In the U.S. you are not allowed to force you narrow minded viewpoint on others. Here is a little tip for you. If you don't like porn, don't watch it.

Really all of these uptight prudes that think their viewpoints should be forced on everyone else are so arrogant. The Chinese authorities are simply proving that they are as week minded as all the would be censors in this country.

I live in China and I support it the Goverments objectives.

China has far more real freedom than USA. They are doing there best to keep it that way. Unlike the streets of New York City, they dont need a army of police to keep public order. There children dont have an epidemic of teenage pregnancy or std's. Internet wise the policing is down right annoying but tolerable. I guess what I am saying is I support efforts to maintain order and keep the kids from becoming truly WESTERN and skrewed up. Some vices a people can do without. The kids can buy alchol or cigaretes but they dont even though nobody is stopping them. Thats a beautiful thing. So if the net bars have a police man waging a finger once and a while no big deal. Kids probally playing counter strike, watching chinese soap operas or chating on QQ(chinese chat program).

I lived in Shenzhen in the last few years. Neither is true. Not only they need army of policy, but every apartment building needs to hire an army of security guards to ward off criminals (and ours still got intrusions.) For the teenager problems, you can just go read more about them in any Chinese news portals.

The only thing better off than America is that there are still not as many guns.
