But I'd never visit the site or retain such an email at work or look at their pictures.

Who is that stupid to do that?!

If Martin Sheville wants to look at things like he and others were sending back and forth at work, he should do it outside of work, not using any equipment from work, and on his own time.

If it is true that other messages were similar but didn't contain frontal nudity, I also must say that he is abusing the purpose of the ADA. If his message contained something that the others didn't, that seems like grounds enough to consider it a different case. At the same time, if others were viewing similar material, they deserve similar punishment whether they sent messages containing it or not.

"wicked weasel"???

Just google'd and visited their site. Oh My. Talk about stretching the definition of "bikini" (!!!)

Yes, any person foolish enough to visit that site during work hours using work equipment (and internet access) is a fool.

clothed or not, using ideas of sexual refrences to manipulate peoples emotions in the workplace is unethical...

emotional grounding and understanding is not achieved from the firing squad.. as for solutions to the problem.. I recommend more public nudity.. we are talking about the USA here - not a religous fundamentalist society

I have to wonder about a company that would fire an experienced, skilled person over something like that.

Which would you rather have... people looking at these kinds of emails... or planes falling out of the sky because someone less qualified (but more adherent to corporate policies) was put in that job?

In the end its probably all the fault of lawyers who have created an environment where everyone is so fearful of being sued for sexual harrassment.

eh... I'd really prefer the load planners keep their minds on the task at hand while at work rather than e-mailing the dirty joke or bikini model of the day.
In today's PC world, It would only take one offended person to initiate a PR nightmare lawsuit claiming the company condones sexual harassment. Most airlines are having enough trouble turning a profit as it is. If this is indicative of the efficiency of what's going on across all airline operations, maybe it not a coincidence most of them are losing money?

Transporting Porn
by flashfast December 8, 2006 5:22 PM PST
I'm sure the ariline doesn't mind transporting porn as mail or
packages as long as they get paid. And they should have at least
given the guy a second chance to clean up his act.

And, by the way, the wicked weasel website is not so shocking at
all - I've been to beaches in australia and at least w weasel is
promoting some sort of clothing!
