in order to make some money you must put some of your money to invest... I beleve that they put too much money, and also i beleve that they didn't do that without good thinking...

Time will tell if this google move was a success or failure. I personaly think that it will be success.

This is absurd. Google is the new Microsoft or IBM. How is youtube different from google video. Why dont they just compete? I predict to be the equivilant of some of the absurd cisco purchaces some years ago.

Competition...
by zaznet October 10, 2006 4:23 AM PDT
YouTube will continue to operate as it has in the past. Google will continue to offer it's competing services. This is not (yet) a merger of the products and services of these two companies.

Moving forward they will share new developments in the online streaminv video market. For now things remain pretty well unchanged so users and investors in both companies should not be too worried.
Google is over

Google must be in the hands of clueless MBAs. That's the only way this deal could have gone down. YouTube must be laughing all the way to the bank. What an embarrassment for the once mighty Google!

Now copyrighted material holders have more incentive going at YouTube. They are the party-crashers.

Google and YouTube
by ovguide October 11, 2006 12:23 PM PDT
With most of the content on YouTube being copyrighted, Google may be facing some big challenges ahead to legally own much of the material they acquired.

The future of online video might be more suited to separate providers that keep ownership of what they produce, much like TV networks that do not share their shows.

At OVGuide.com, we are taking an approach that connects users to the many different online providers, which in the end gives people more choices. It also helps keep ownership of copyrighted material to the sources who produced them.
