This deal still stinks. But the lawsuits against the deal are based on antitrust law, and I don't think that will work: http://domainnamewire.com/2005/11/28/lawsuit-challenges-verisign-settlement/

is it a nonsense to hike up the .com price. this move will surely push newbie and oldies of .com owner to think again, is it valued to pay a higher amount for a .com. maybe big company have no problem about the price increase, how about those beginner or small companies. I REALLY HOPE THAT THERE IS SO LAW TO PEOPLE THE CONSUMER.
all the .com should go aganist the greedy company.

Have you noticed that your comments on this talkback are surrounded by ads ??

If the price of a .com went from $10 to $20 per year, how many would be dropped? Very few, I'd guess.

I don't want to pay more for the 6 or 8 domains I have, but money is not only the root of all evil, it's the root of all progress. Just keep spending and the world moves forward.
