"Human Capital" is Disturbing

I hold a Master's Degree in Public Administration with an
emphasis in Personnel Management. Several years ago
"Personnel" became politically incorrect and was replaced by the
term "Human Resources." I did not agree with this change, but I
detest the new term "Human Capital."

I wonder if this new term is the result of the corporate takeover
of this great Democratic Republic. Corporations have no concern
for people. Their only concern is for the bottom line. How much
profit can we make today! To refer to the people who toil to see
that this profit is obtained as "capital" takes all human aspects
out of the equation and makes employees nothing but chattel.

If you disagree. I suggest you consult your dictionary where you
will find a definition for capital as, "wealth in the form of money
or other assets owned by a person or organization or available
or contributed for a particular purpose such as starting a
company or investing." To continue with the dictionary
definition, capital is defined as, "the excess of a company;s
assets over liabilities."

These definitions, among others, make "human capital" a
commodity that can be bought, sold, disposed of, or destroyed.
It is a term that we, as a civilized society must reject. We must
refer to our most valued asset, human beings, as people who
deserve to be treated as such and not as a commodity.

Inequality... ticks me off.

Anyone remember last years VA data loss? What came of it...? Oh thats right the FBI decided that they were confident to a high degree that the data was not accessed by the theives. After all the hoopla, veterans were not granted any sort of credit monitoring.

NOW the TSA is not even sure if the hard drive has left the building and they are already got the ball in motion for funding credit monitoring.

I seem to remember the Feebs had an embarrassment a few months ago, GAO report maybe? FBI lost eleven laptops, lost or stolen, with classified data.

TSA - An unusual perspective

This is a perfect example of what's currently wrong with the TSA. They have no "employees", they instead behave as if they own you.

Now to find out, passengers have more privacy then those of us that past and presently used to secure them.

Why would anyone stay for an agency that day in and day out requires you to violate Federal Law with no questions asked, and won't back you up. I prefer to do the right thing, as one of the many ex-"Problem Employees" that left this criminal situation.

And lets not forget about the many civil rights abuses that were investigated and then immediately classified. They even had the kahuna's to have a spokeswoman say they were unfounded in public with no supporting documentation. Unfounded, but the results of the investigation are classified, yeah, sure.
