Better safe than sorry....

FINALLY! The Government is taking some action, however, whether the creation of the CIMIP will be effective remains to be seen. I personally believe that today's research efforts are the underdog of yesterday's hackers and cybercriminals; they always seem to be one step ahead.

Offline, the shredder seems to suit my needs just fine...but online? I like to stay updated on the latest security software like Taceo instead of waiting for the CIMIP to discover tactics used by cybercriminals last month. I'd rather prevent than react...

We do not need more "research" at taxpayer expense

What we need is:
(1) uniform legislation so that if a business or government agency compromises its customers' data (including responsibility for the actions of employees)such agency will bear the full amount of any costs and damages its customers have suffered;
