Comments on: Ron Paul: The Internet's favorite candidate
The libertarian-leaning Republican may not receive as much media coverage as better-known presidential candidates, but he enjoys a commanding lead on the Internet.

There's not much difference between him and the DemoKooks, like those at Kos.
Also, you say Obama wants to nuke Iran? Last week he just said that the US should not use nukes under any circumstances. He flip-flops more than John Kerry. But he's the liberal media darling (just below Hillary) so he certainly will not be called on his inconsistencies and naivete.
That is a far cry from "any circumstances".
So does that mean you want a war happy candidate to toss away as many lives in as short time as possible?
So who is responsible for ignoring Bin Laden and allowing him and his group to regain strength?
Ron Paul is either ignored or attacked by liberals in the media as well as fascist FOX. He's is not their darling by any stretch of the imagination. Unless you get all your propaganda, er.. "news" from FOX.
Clinton brown-noser George Snuffalufagous (ABC) told Paul "that's [winning] not going to happen". Does that sound like Paul is the "media darling"? Only in the FOX Twilight Zone.
Well if you answered yes to all these questions, CONGRATULATIONS! Your a Ron Paul Voter and a True Patriot. Welcome to the Ron Paul rEVOLution. Vote yes for Dr. No in 2008. Lets get this country fixed. Get in touch with Dr. Ron Paul. To know him is to love him.
Bush will leave his office near to how Gorbachev left the Soviet Union. In high inflation, unemployment, and recession. Ron Paul never even voted to raise his own congressional pay, because he doesn't want to take even a nickel from any hardworking American. I don't think people want to take a chance on voting for the wrong candidate again. Ron Pauls website is www.ronpaul2008.com
This man is like the waterfall in the middle of a volcanic eruption. He's hot, He's cool and he is trying to save our country.
So he works for free does he?
"I am well aware of the support the He receives from them. Over half of Ron Paul's campaign money comes from military men and women."
Everything you mentioned was right on, except, that which I quoted above, though I wish you were right. The fact is, that 53% of all Military personnel donations were indeed given in support of Ron Paul. That is impressive! But not half of ALL contributions to Ron Paul were Military, if they were, our troops would have donated an incredible sum of nearly One and a Half Million Dollars! I wish it were as you said, because that would mean that Congressman Ron Paul has set the record in campaign fundraising! Nevertheless, he has and, He is truly Hope For America!
That's what happens when you have an insane group of spammers who submit the same story so that each "article" about Ron Paul gets submitted a minimum of 10 times. It wouldn't have taken much effort for the writer of this sycophantic puff piece to see who submits the "articles" and how many times the same story is submitted and resubmitted and RESUBMITTED.
The writer didn't even cover the paranoid conspiracy theories of Ron Paul's supporters! A cursory glance around the Digg posts would see constant theories on why Paul is being suppressed either by the Mainstream Media or the New World Order or some other paranoid explanation. How can this article hope to be slightly accurate when the writer only covers part of the story?
level is come the Iowa straw poll, and the undecided voters are
going to flock to his solid plan for the country in droves.
a constitutional form of government. By the people, for the
people. Of laws, not men. He is resonating with people who are
tired of the financially elite and multi-national corporate
interests running things. I am one of his supporters, and I assure
you I am neither insane or paranoid. Wary and lucid are less
inflammatory and more accurate words to describe most of Ron
Paul's supporters in my opinion. And there's certainly every bit
as much evidence that those fearful of Ron Paul are doing
everything within their power to minimize him, as his supporters
are to convert his flame into a blow torch. What exactly is wrong
with giving Ron Paul a place in the front row of the scrutiny and
coverage that the election process should be about? "Paranoid"
or "insane"?
I think everyone's going to get a big surprise on Sunday in Iowa at Republican straw poll. I personally know 5 people who intend to go there and vote for Ron. I know one person who will be voting for Romney. That's it.
I've heard this particular complaint or a variant a thousand times now but it always falls flat on one thing: so where are the "contenders'" insane numbers?
Are they just inept? With all their massive money lead (only two have that (or three with Fred) as McCain is nearly b/r) are they so unpopular or otherwise faulted they can't compete in such a large yet free outlet?
Apparently not all of them are so inept as to maximize this publicity arena, just other Republicans, as Obama, a relatively seasoned and savvy politician from a big state, also has a large net following. (Hitlery would, but she couldn't figure out how to make money off it like Whitewater...)
While you're at it, dear, could you please enumerate the conspiracy theories Paul represents and advances? A few would do... That comment was mainly from observing the popularity of such annoying divergences from the Libertarian and Conservative camps of the '80's, '90's and '00's and assuming since Paul is a *TEN TERM SITTING CONGRESSMAN* with a combination of leaning in those philosophical camps he must share the nut glazing. Possibly a good assumption from the outside - it only lacks the usefulness of accuracy. (We LP/RP/independents and others no longer feel odd - the Party of Lenin has outstripped even the nuttier edges of our camps against the Bush dynasty and they aren't very good or creative at it.) (Yes Honey, I also know you did specify "supporters" but it was not your intent to smear them as much as Paul.)
Your complaint was more inaccurate than the article, Sweetheart. BTW, who do you support? Certainly not Der Fuhrer Julie Annie nor "What's my Position Today?" Romney?
To be open about it, I am supporting both Paul and Fred, and have sent donations to both. After reading Obama's book, and his initial comments warning our Pakistan "allies", despite his stupid gun control stance, I would probably consider supporting him over either Julie Annie or Romney, if I didn't make a protest vote to the LP. (Madman McCain we will not even consider.)

on quality that escapes all the other candidates - honesty. You
don't here about RP flip-flops. He means what he says, and says
what he mean. He also is the only candidate who routinely
references the constitution. It seems like all the other
candidates think it's 'just a scrap of paper'.
As a life long Republican, I have been discusted on how my party
has moved from the defender of personal freedom, and the
champion of smaller government and fiscal responsibility to a
big buisiness, big money ***** and foreign interventionist.
RP is the only candidate the understands and believes in
constitutional principles, and has a ny personal principles as
well. This is probably why he's popular on the internet, where
editors and owner don't try to control our thinking. The
mainstream media want to pick our candidates. How often do
they even mention Ron Paul? Hoe doesn;'t do well in their Pauls,
because most people have never heard of him - because they
get their news from the mainstream media. If they media game
Paul the same sort of coverage they give Rudy McRomney, you's
see Paul doing much better.

The country needed someone like Reagan back in 1980, and it
needs Ron Paul today.

Anyway anyone who suggest eliminating IRS will never go beyond the naive or the idealistic crowd. I do not really want to pay tax but hey i want most of the things the government provides, just watch die hard 4.0 to see what i am trying to say. Yes, it is Hollywood but Hollywood is on the surface of this earth last time i look at the map.
You know, Benjamin Franklin once said - Those who give a little liberty for a little freedom are destined to have neither.

A couple years went by and we Minnesotans couldn't wait to dump the idiot! He was a welcome breath of fresh air for a moment, but then the bad breath surfaced and he started looking and sounding like all the other politicians.
Be careful, every now and then a Ron Paul comes along. Maybe they truly are different, but I think the System just chews them up and spits them out eventually.

experience and a correct understanding of the proper role of
government.
That candidate in 1988 was also Ron Paul.

Not that I've ever held CNET's journalism to be anything other than second rate... but this story about his 'popularity' is awful journalism, even for them. Equating 'digg' clicks to popularity is simply ignorant (and lazy journalism at that).
And if it were just Digg submissions, you might even be right.
But there's the Alexa statistics, the Hitwise statistics, the Technorati staistics, the Eventful statistics, the MySpace statistics, the YouTube Google visit statistics, and so on.
All of which the article mentioned, and all of which your attempt at criticism blissfully ignores.
If the energy of his supporters could be directed to an electable candidate, we could actually have a conservative President.

Yeah, yeah... I'm sure it's just a couple of dudes with a vast array of computer devoted to a libeterian-styled candidate. That explains that whole business away. Who could like freedoms anyway?

"We don't think a child of 13 should be held responsible as a man of 23.
