Good idea

I really think that if internet search companies unite against censorship, and the US government backs them, we can make progress on this issue. It's absurd for Western companies to toady to oppressive regimes.

Tell the US government to remove its own control over the internet...

The US government has the powers to "monitor" Web sites, and yet, the Chinese govenment can't? Not that I agree with censorship, but the US government should remove its own control over the internet before telling others to do so. The US government probally removed a lot of web sites on the internet, but it just doesn't get the same amount of media attentions as China.
