I live in Manhattan and did some contract work at the UN (Demography division) back in the 90's. One day, at 10 a.m., some guy ran into my office and announced: "There's a party down the hall, hurry if you want some wine!" At 10 o'clock in the MORNING. That was the culture.

No where in the Qura'an is it mentioned that drinking is forbidden... It is frowned upon, just as it is in Christianity, however it is not strictly forbidden. The practice of Islam has twisted the Qura'an in many ways, to the extent that people like you feel scared to visit the middle east (quite an barbaric comment you made by the way).
So before you go quoting holy books, you sir, must do some research. Nice page reference by the way ;)

- This just goes to show that "Rubbish" and all other who deny the fact that the Internet is an American invention, could not find their arse with both hands a roadmap and a flashlight in a dark room! Below is the facts of how the internet was born and they are undisputed by the UN and the World Court in the hauge which has repeatedly stated that the US invented the internet and as such they have the sole right to allow and disconnect anyone they choose for any reason:
