10,000 employees on the phones. 30,000 applications processed per day. So the employees (if we ignore net applications) are handling 3 applications per day? To input 20 fields?

From what I saw on TV the shelters for the evacuees that were set up in cities all over the nation weree being equipped with free internet and phones for them to use. Maybe only those in small areas of Mississippi didn't get to go to shelters. Or these congressmen are embellishing the numbers based upon a few complaints.
