BetBug.com is the only legal way to bet on sports online the US!
by February 5, 2005 12:28 PM PST
www.BetBug.com was launched recently to great fanfare and with good reason. It's the only legal way for Americans to bet on sports online!

BetBug is the first and only way for individuals to bet directly with other individuals on sports, without ANY interference of a central server or middleman. This keeps the platform entirely legal according to US federal law - and we've worked extremely hard to achieve that. We feel that Americans deserve a safe, legal way to bet.

Mr. Stone has it wrong. Individual bettors in the US have NEVER been prosecuted by federal authorities for wagering because federal laws DO NOT PROHIBIT betting by individuals! Nor does new legislation contemplate making individuals' bets illegal. Congress knows that it has no place trying to stop any of us from betting a buddy $20 on the superbowl, which is exactly what www.BetBug.com enables you to do - legally.

Enjoy the Super Bowl!

Actually Tradesports.com and Betfair also offer peer-to-peer betting. Not sure whether or not it's legal but it sure as hell should be.
