understood why they didn't. ATRAC/3 is an ok sound format,
but why make a person convert a file before they can play their
MP3 file?
The story makes mention of WMA maybe not being far behind,
but I think this is a mistake. Not because WMA is proprietary,
but because WMA is a bad audio encoding format. All WMA's I've
heard, all sound like they are being played in a tin can.
At present, the Sony software seems designed only for people to buy pre-recorded music and then downloading it to their MDs.
Perhaps Sony will now change their policy and make Sony MDs genuinely useful?

(8 Comments)my mps lasted 7 months and if I want to repair it it was costing as buying a new one
it just stopped working suddenly and when I tried to take my music out of it it turned off completely
I never had such a terrible, it was supposed to work ! YEAR!!! there warranty is unuseful after 90 days instead!!!
the worst customer support ever!!and the product is just crap!
