It is the same stupid story every year. They concentrate the few good books into hardcover for Christmas, and they think this is a good thing.

Produce more good SF paperbacks all year long and I will BUY more. I am reaching the end of my stack now, and it is just about time for all the xmas hardbacks to go paperback.

Supply and demand - I am buying all the good SF paperback that I can FIND. Produce more and I will buy it, it really is that simple.

How about publishers stop ripping people off

Then maybe we will purchase new books. In the meantime, the "buy used" on Amazon saves me $$$ every time.

Catch 22 strikes again?

How about make it so you don't have to be Stephen King, Dean
Koonz, or Tom Clancy to get signed for a book deal? You can't
seem to get new talent because you flush all the up-and-comings
before they can even get their foot in the door.

Most publishers will not give you a new book deal unless you are
an already published, already selling author - and you can't
become one of those with - you guessed it - books in print....
