What does this say about Microsoft?

It says that Google is bigger and better than them when it comes to the Internet and advertising.

Microsoft is now the little guy and Google is just getting bigger. Of course in terms of an ecosystem, the Internet is a hell of a lot bigger than PC desktops.

Anyway, why else would little old Microsoft be complaining and saying "it just isn't fair". They recognise that they are now the little guy.

so they CAN CONCENTRATE ON MAKING THEIR SEARCH ENGINE BETTER!!! Am I the only one who has noticed that their search has gone down hill? I have been using Yahoo & Live (Yuk) lately, because believe it or not, it has been better. Plus, you are guaranteed of at least 6 "crap" results at the top with each google search. I guess anyone can pay to have their company come up even though it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH MY SEARCH TERMS. Way to go Google, keep buying crap and forget about what made you popular to begin with. I can't wait for Powerset.

Tower of Babel?

Can you imagine Google's bread and butter, cash cow or whatever you wanna call it, reduced to a has-been? The company itself would be reduced to simply another online ads shop and its "karma" would no longer be as favorable as it is now. They better not underestimate the tremendous importance of their search engine and take the web community for granted; people can switch search engines more easily than changing shirts. It only takes a catalyst for the market share to crumble overnight.

When napster was forced to install filters, pirates found a way around them. I'm sure the filters being installed for youtube do more than just scan the text titles of uploaded videos, but rather look for digital watermarks being inserted into everything being broadcasted.
