Comments on: Ron Jeremy sticks it to tech sector

Who better than America's favorite satyr to remind the country that electronic communication is no substitute for face-to-face contact.

inventor of radio

There's long been a controversy over who invented radio. Both Marconi and Nikola Tesla were working on the subject at around the same time. Some good information may be found on PBS here:

I just think that Tesla's work ought to be recognized.

Texting?

I dunno about anyone else, but I hate checking voice mail on my cell, I'd much rather read a text, and that's one of the reasons I prefer texting to voice.

What jeremy fails to see is...
by shoffmueller April 2, 2007 1:59 PM PDT
...that texting allows messages to be stored for the recipient to read when he's got time, it allows for threaded conversation, and allows for faster access to saved snippets of conversation. This guy compares text'ing to morse code, and says somehow suggests that text messaging is going backwards. This interview was completely worthless.

Orgasmatron & Barabarella?
by uptown81w April 2, 2007 2:00 PM PDT
The Orgasmatron was the orgasm-producing orb in Woody Allen's "Sleeper". Barbarella had sex by playing patty cake (no orb needed), until she discovered a more old fashioned method, which she came to prefer.

Historically correct
by catbus99 April 2, 2007 3:04 PM PDT
I was at what was one of the first World Wide Web "trade shows" at the San Jose Convention Center back in the early 90's. To be honest, it was in one of the center's smaller halls with a lot of open space remaining. It was at that point in time where the few of us who knew about the Web thought it was a pretty good idea, but nobody (including me) could see how it could ever be commercially useful. As I remember it, between a quarter and a third of the handful of exhibitors were what we would call today "porn sites."

Give Mr. Jeremy some credit as a futurist. If holographic projection ever becomes a viable entertainment medium, holo-porn will be what gets it into the living room (or wherever).

And thanks, Ron, for all your "hard work." You were always the babe magnet for the rest of us!

Ron sucks. - http://www.mobdown.com/

According to some users of http://www.mobdown.com/ , Ron is a terrible actor, really stupid, and really disliked. Just check out his videos at http://www.mobdown.com/ and you'll understand their frustrations.
