Sounds like somebody needs to look up the definition of the word. There is a reason why it's called BROAD-cast. Limiting reception is contrary to this concept.

If "The Matrix 3" can be released globally at the exact same time, why must other parts of the world wait years for something as mundane as new episodes of sitcoms that have already wrapped and gone off the air here in the United States?

Wouldn't it be a better use of resources to globalize and standardize the distribution network so that everyone has access to the same stuff at the same time?

And within this country, what's to protect except sporting events?

But, if you can build it, it will be cracked. Stop wasting time and money trying to keep your content out of the hands of an audience who wants it and start figuring out how to make money off of the pent-up demand.
