It's useless really

Who is going to keep the token? Anybody could borrow it easily. Some kids could even SELL it or RENT it.
Only biometris MIGHT do it, but, let's say: an adult could ask a kid to log him in for money.
Kids will usually not realize the consequences of that.
It seems to me to be yet another privacy invasion that does not really solve the issue.

Not a good idea

To my mind it looks like they've provided a way for a predator to be sure they're talking to a real child instead of another adult pretending to be a child, this program just helps the predators.

Good point.

Fingerprint recognition is certainly more secure than a token
device. This token thing is slightly better than absolutely
useless.
