Where are the parents?
by mystereojones June 29, 2006 10:00 AM PDT
When are parents going to be held responsible for their kid's action? There's something wrong when parents are relying on a complete stranger's "program" to babysit their kids.

Mondern Era Parenting...tech-no-parents...
by Jules_b95 July 8, 2006 12:17 PM PDT
Parents have used tv, video games, the public school system, malls, local rec centers, swimming pools, probation officers and any other device that happens to keep their kids out of their hair and responsibility and a means of a babysitter for years, so why not a computer program to help sluff off being held accountable what their kids can and can't do on the internet...make sense to me, new era new age new device!

And not only when are parents going to be held accountable for what their kids do but how about their kids go thru and live to bring them to the point of doing some of the ill behaviors they might try....?

You mean when a parent is resting peacefully in bed the slumber of their nice warm bed, and for the 15th time in 6 months....at age 14....that parent should just be able to throw up their hands and go..."well I just don't know why he/she is acting this way" ....uh-huh...no clue or idea at all! Or...maybe they just need to forced to focus and think a little harder for day or two...

No such thing as a perfect parent...and every child/teen makes mistakes, that's just part of learning. But I see on a daily basis a crap load of kids growing up with no parenting or guidance at all....and then they end up in the court system, and the parents just get to say.."well see, I'm not the only one who knew they were headed for trouble" .....

C'mon folks, let's start pulling parents to their feet, off their dead butts and holding them to the standards of being real parents, good with the bad, evil with the saints, like it or not...when you took on being a parent, you took on a big chore, now get the job done right.

If they don't have the answer, take them parents by the hand to find the answer...Don't lay it back on the school and court systems to take care of it for them, that's what they want.

so I guess mystereojones, I totally agree with you on that! lol just hits a nerve with me..parents looking for more "out" of their responsibilities....

p.s. yep, I'm a parent...23 years...6 kids...

its Technology/so treat it that way.

I think its about the abuse of things that Modems carry so much trouble..I remember getting my first Car(auto)and how Cool it was to "spin" the rear tires..
I think technology and its Internet has a serious Highway to manage on the merits of respect for others..instead the "easy" money has wandered into a position..its one of those OPEN DOOR Policies that have allowed the grasp to slip..like the Video Game/its a disgusting mess..
What to do:about the PC..??
Is what is done considering the acts we wield on others..
Like when I would "spin" my rear tires the NOISE would be deafening/
So as in Internet Traffic that only emboldens poor manners and foul language we all get a nasty taste of one man's freedom/
What's the way to go:where No Man Has Gone Before..??
I would quess partly true..the Starship was named ENTERPRISE..I quess that explains some things/the rest is all about taking the proper CONTROL..considering..Out There-somewhere.

I signed up on myspacewatch a few years ago to watch one person. I no longer need this service, but whenever I log on I get the message that I do not have permission to access this site. What is going on? All I want to do is cancel the service. Any advice would be appreciated.
