- LOL! You don't think Fox and NBC and co are ever going to go for 21st century technology do you? They're stuck in the same era as the RIAA (who think you can still sell data by the unit when one copy sorts 20,000 people).

(3 Comments)That said, I'm surprised anyone in the USA actually *wants* to watch the 'standard' new anymore. Although, I guess, it's another big reason it won't happen - The big companies wouldn't want joe-public into the secret that there's real news on the internet!
The moment that secret gets out the public *might* (though even then, given the enlightenment prevalent in America plus their wonderful education system, it's still only a 'might') begin to realise the difference between propagandised neo-con sheep-food and genuine current-affairs. The words 'cooperation' and 'cooperative' and 'state-run' might leak out into general thinking, without being stamped as 'dangerous commie thinking'. Suddenly, groups of people might begin doing things for themselves, learning things under their own steam and generally sorting things out, without paying the multinational corperations for every breath and every drink of water. Seriously, you ain't seen nothin yet, it's going to be a *vicious* battle :-)
