big media please stay out!

I don't like the idea of any big media company getting into podcasting. So far much of the appeal of podcasting has been that it's been a medium for the 'voice of the little guy', similar to the original appeal of blogs.

The newest communication mediums always start among the common folk, complete with a refreshing variety of ideas and styles. But then it's only a matter of time before the big guys get in there and use it to flood us with their dismal blah-blah-blah messages and their unending obnoxious ads. They won't rest until we're all dumb and numb.

file. That would be old and dumb, except of course it's a podcast which makes it so great.

I would actually rather have them post some ABC radio stuff rather than sound only versions of tv shows.
