Blogs are Biased
by January 3, 2005 1:39 PM PST
The political blogs are so biased it is embarrasing. I read some regularly before the election, and they were way wrong in their prognostications.

They suck big time and I won't be going back.

Blog SHOULDN'T be a household word.
by katamari January 3, 2005 10:17 PM PST
The term "blog" is nothing more than a sociable buzzword for "update your site". There is absolutely NOTHING unique about """blogging technology""". There is NOTHING unique about changing Web content.

If updating content on a Web site is so miraculous to induce a term for the act, then the Internet sure has fallen a long ways since the late 80s...

The term ""blog"" needs to DIE already.

I agree completely.
Totally agree

I completely agree with the message above. After all, whats the big deal about blogging anyway other than a way to tell other people about stuff they already know about? Blogging should be available within a website, as in users being able to tell each other about good parts of a website, but not a blogging website used to talk about other websites.

Once you think about it, blog is a pretty senseless expression. Rather similar to "dissing".
What's your problem?

I thought the word 'blog' was a concatenation of weB & LOG. It's about the logging, keeping a diary. And keeping a diary online surely gives it a whole new twist. Just like sending mail electronically changed it into something new, wich we all call email. You don't think we should drop that one also, do you?

You are biased...

If you can't distinguish facts from opinions you will have a real hard time surfing the web... I don't see why you blame this on blogs. You could as well turn to pop-song-lyrics for spiritual guidance.
