Go a head an release it, so it can be cracked...

Truly secure DRM is a mathematical impossibility. Because of the way encryption works the end-user must have the key to decrypt the information. That means the security of the DRM is dependant on how well the keys can be hidden. All it takes is one good copy.

actauly sony and nintendo hae been able to encrpyt and protect their systems pretty good
firmwire 1.51 and up on psp hasn't been cracked though they managed to let people to revert back to 1.5 to allow emulators on
and no nintendo DS emulators have worked 100% cause nintendo won't release the information to the public

Snake Oil
by July 15, 2004 11:59 AM PDT
As was stated in both of the previous takes, this is a mathematically impossible goal. You have to ultimately trust all end users of the item you are trying to protect in order for ANY such system to work. Hence, you may as well just trust copyright law to protect it from transgressors.

These guys are making a mint on snake oil, and it is not costing the motion picture companies because they will pass-on (with mark-up) the cost to EVERY CONSUMER of the "protected" material.

What a waste of money.

DVD Encryptions
by sprfreak December 18, 2005 11:27 AM PST
Everyone should be able to backup their dvds. I have alot of nieces & nephews who handle & ruin my dvds. Backing them up is great because if they ruin them, I just make another backup instead of losing money re-buying the dvd again. It's a consumers right to protect their purchase.

Latest DVD cop software listed at www.dvdxcopyreviews.com

DVD X Copy was an excellent product for DVD copying - the best DVD Copy Software of all time. As per http://www.dvdxcopy.com , DVD X Copy products are no longer being sold or supported. I went to http://www.dvdxcopyreviews.com and there are some excellent DVDXCopy alternative software programs for DVD copying. I've tried both of the top ranked DVD copy software products and they are both awesome! Both of these companies picked up where 321 Studios left off.
