It used to happen so infrequently that I could barely recall the last time it happened, but in recent weeks it's been happening more and more often.

WHERE was the notification? Where was the authorization I gave Google to push a totally separate product on my machine? Where was my authorization to allow them to push a KNOWN SECURITY HOLE onto my machine?
If MSFT had done this, there'd be a front page story on every online site and newspaer proclaiming MSFT ties desktop search into IE browser applet and opens a known security hole.
But if Google does it it's okay?
