At least I'm not crazy...
by scififool August 26, 2005 1:52 PM PDT
I have been arguing back and forth with Google's ad department for 3 days about their new policy. I have two ad campaigns for my fledgling small business and have gone from over 20 - 50 visits per day from google ad sources to zero. My 5-cents per click keywords now are costing from 40-cents to 1 dollar per click. When I complained, they acted as if I was just not organizing my keywords efficiently. They just quoted some babble about my impressions per click. I spent hours trying to make my keywords "more meaningful" and could not bring the cost per click down to reasonable levels. I try to keep my advertising costs with Google to under $100 dollars per month. I have now switched to a new ad service which has partially restored my website visits.
Thanks for confirming that I am not crazy. .js

I've experienced a 2-3 x jump in cost per day,
so they are sure doing this to squeeze more money out of their clients.

I don't want your ad to sound like that AnooX ****, but I'm very curious about the alternative you have found... Any hint to what it is?
