If you're going to buy running shoes, you might as well just suck it up and eat the logo, because most shoes will have some kind of logo on them. We're buying the shoes, not the logo. Good luck finding a genuine pair of Nike (or whatever) shoes without their logo on them.
When you place an ad on your forehead, you're screaming "HEY LOOK AT ME I'M AN ATTENTION ***** AND A CORPORATE ****". It's distracting when people want to talk to you, and only people lacking this much self-respect (read: Hooters girls) wouldn't notice it.
I couldn't agree more with Dave Balter. This kind-of crap will blow over. Eventually there will be a lawsuit of some kind (advertiser vs. human posterboard), and it'll all just fall apart. And when it does, I'll be there smiling.
