Never died out...

Click fraud was never 'contained', it simply died out when online advertising spending took a nosedive from 2001-2003. There was little money to be made from it, but now that there is, it's back.

The anonymous Joe in your article represents everything that's wrong with American business. I hope he never becomes successful enough to become another Ken Lay.

I have personally seen that click fraud is still very real. It is still a big problem that is being confronted as JeffHughes1 has stated. The trick is to detect and prevent click fraud. There is a company that has done the research to find the best click fraud prevention available it is: http://www.adtrackerreviews.com i recommend taking a look it is a non-profit organization and provides an in-depth look at the different click fraud detection tools
