BAD APPLE DAY - This will go down in history as one of the worst Apple days ever. IPhone problems and the "Mobile Me" still not working and when it does it feels like the old slow dial up service. Not to mention AT$T problems. You would think that Apple would have done their homework and been ready for such a day; this will cost them in major PR and sales. - Father Bless...

I have to say I have little to no respect for Steve Wozniak anymore. He could call Jobs up any day and get an iPhone - or at least have them delivered to him on the first day, but he really pulled a boner at Valley Fair Mall today. He asked the guy who was at the head of the line - several people before me - if he could "go first" - that is, cut in line something like 300 places. And he brought six friends with him. What a jerk Woz is.

Screw him. I don't like him he is just plain bitter. You would think you'd be proud of being co-founder of a company like Apple or any company for that matter even a mom & pop shop. But he always makes it a point to bash Apple, Steve and anything Apple related. On top of that he is a media *****. not may people like him.

No one will care about today. They had activation problems a year ago, and yet the world still caught iPhone Mania. Today's glitches will be resolved and the faithful shall rejoice.

Have you noticed that the little hand-held computers the Apple Store folks use are actually PCs? Maybe that's the problem...?

Don't kid yourselves CNET. Everything did not go smoothly last time (as I have read at least a half dozen times on here already). Maybe they were shuttled in and out of the stores quickly, but not everyone got a working phone then either. History repeats itself. Maybe Apple isn't the savior everyone thinks they are. Here's some articles you wrote in case anyone forgot:

Phone activations are squarely in AT&T's court. Of course, it's entirely Apple's fault that they went with the worst of the major 3 carriers in the US, though I guess their hands were tied by GSM vs CDMA, unless they wanted to make two versions of the phone...

"You have to understand," the man said, straight-faced. "It's the Jesus phone."

Ha ha to say to a priest that probably has no clue about the device is classic. No disrespect but a classic nonetheless.

Of the assumed to be tens of thousands who wanted an iPhone 3G on the 11th how many are reporting here that they were activated or ported over in only 14 minutes? I was lucky enough to have been one with my number ported over from my old iPhone. I thought it was too dam quick I drove home and was making calls and it was barely 9am. But then again I am on the east coast and bore through before the early morning crunch as the rest of the nation wakes up and plunges the Apple servers to its knees.

Here is my ordeal, no Iphone 3g, but had it in my hand... so close.. dang it...
Went to Apple store, stayed in line for 3.5 hours. Apple told me they could not sell me a unit because I had a business discount. Told me the only thing I could buy today was an Iphone 3g case. Now I am ticked.. wasted 3 to 4 hours. Left cause they told me I had to, so other could get in. Called ATT. They said Apple lied to me. All they had to do was call and it would be ok. (This is the second day, the apple folks should have known this) ATT told me to call the store back and to sell me a unit, Apple says ok, but you have to wait in line again. Line is now 4 to 5 hours or longer. Called ATT back, told them, they told me to wait till next week and go to an ATT store or an Apple store when the lines die down. No help. I even offered for them to order and ship me a phone next week. No go. Current state, Iphone 3g-less. Hating apple and Att for the back and forth blame game.

I think it is a little funny how everyone is soooo angry about issues with the launch. They sold 1 million iphones this past weekend - then had to have them activated.

Wait a week and the problems will go away. I have wanted an iphone since the first release but decided to wait for 3g. So I have been waiting a while. I figure I can wait another couple of days.
