I can't access any Google service like Gmail, Reader, News, Blogger (for blogs hosted there). Either Chrome nor IE8 can load any Google sites.

It's 11:26 a.m. Eastern and I still can't do anything Google, which is frustrating because I rely on it for personal and work concerns during my business day. I have tried Chrome (my default) and Firefox.

I can't access Google News. Google Web takes a very long time to load and does not load the graphics, GMail won't load... looks like they snarled something up big-time.

Me as well, no apps, or gmail, for about an hour now. Oddly enough Google Voice still works fine, which is great.

West coast Florida is mostly down as well. GMail continues to time out or completely fail. Google search fails to load.
Yeah, they messed up big time. Time to update your story CNet...

That was scary! I was actually in the middle of the paying bit of an Ebay/Paypal transaction, when the outage happened. That did nothing for my confidence level.
Thanks for the heart attack, Google!

Features seem to be added to Facebook as well. People using Twitter for status updates now have only their most recent posts visible, you have to click a link (view similar posts) to see the rest.
