Perhaps the real problem is advertising. I honestly hadn't heard about Joost till I saw it on my Boxee video tabs hanging around the netflix youtube and hulu tabs. Actually I've never even bothered to use Joost, all the professional videos I want are either on Hulu or Netflix, and all my time wasting videos are of course are on youtube.

For one, Joost is a download and install program - a HUGE disadvantage to Hulu and Youtube. I'm not sure if Joost is still using that model, but I haven't bothered going back to check, and I'm guessing a lot of others haven't either.

I have Joost installed actually - and the content isn't that impressive. Except for two things that Hulu and Youtube will never offer - a channel of nothing but nude woman on the beach. Perhaps that was another one of Joost's downfalls...

Joost used to be download and install. But they have gone away from that.

Joost's bigest problem was stale content. When I was using their client software it seemed like it was always the same few shows. Now they're too late to party since Hulu and now Youtube have pretty much eaten their lunch.

A P2P service being trounced by a pair of streaming services. If we considered this out of context we'd be laughing by now. To bad this really isn't funny.

Hulu is nothing more than spreading your legs for Satan and asking him to be nice because it's your first time. Only an idiot would support that model.
