Comments on: Yahoo's mobile voice search good, not great

It's not perfect, but the company's voice-powered mobile search technology is worth using. It's a sign of things to come as phones and wireless networks improve.

Sounds like a toy if you have to have an app installed and then have to interact with your screen. If I'm using my phone for searching, it's because I'm in the car and driving. GOOG-411 doesn't require installing anything and just works. Maybe comparing them is irrelevant since they seem like completely different animals.

I hope Yahoo! really starts raising the bar, rather than just trying to play catchup with the market leaders. Maybe this is a first step?
