Will it lead to greater sales (the "Oprah effect")? Perhaps some added interest, but unlikely as to any great amount of enhanced sales, given the Kindle's cost and requirement of tech comfort (this ain't a $20 book). Now if Amazon just would round off many of the rough edges of the device, and make a truly consumer-friendly and stylish device.

- lets face it if a kindle user tried a sony reader, the kindle will be hitting the bottom of the bin very soon.
