Google has already launched a fusillade of blog posts and other commentary to defend its search-ad deal with Yahoo. Now Yahoo is following suit.

Or maybe it's none of our business until questions come up from regulating parties, at which time the facts are answered. Last I checked, that's why the people of the federal government hired them. If a person or group owns a company, it's not your business to know their trade deals unless it becomes a legal issue with regulators, not CNet and Microsoft. Besides, it gave you plenty to write about. So shut up.

Or maybe, jackass, they're publicly traded companies. Last I checked, companies that raise billions of dollars of capital by selling ownership shares in themselves are covered by the press for the industry in which they do business. If the public (who ostensibly are reading CNET, like you and me) own a company much like Yahoo, Google, and Microsoft are owned by shareholders, it is their business to stay informed of relevant business tactics used by those companies, whether anticompetitive or not. So how about you and the ther know-nothings shut up?
