Marriage is for creating a family not just love. Only a man and woman can create a family. People are free to choose want they want but its not a marriage if it is between members of the same sex its a union. They should be allowed similar rights like insurance and visiting rights but it no more a marriage then i am a jet fighter pilot because i like the movie top gun and am really good at a simulator.

How can we even begin to figure out if gay marriage is right or wrong if we don't know what being "gay" is? I know many people that have been gay and back, and there's been less supporting evidence for a "gay gene" now.

If being gay is truly an influential and mental disease, then surely it wouldn't be good for our society. If it's a genetic disorder then it wouldn't be much of a big deal.

I have to say, even after typing "genetic disorder" I feel that might get some people in a nut, funny enough. I suppose a disorder can only be something that can differ from the norm, but if it was ever not a disorder, I don't think we'd have enough of the norm to draw that conclusion, heh.

Maybe some social graphs and a few more songs like "I kissed a girl and I like it" should tell the whole story 20 years from now.

On the opposite side of the spectrum... I used to love you google. Now you go and do this? How can I love you now, knowing that you're gay.

Brin says "We should not eliminate anyone's fundamental rights, whatever their sexuality, to marry the person they love," he said.

WRONG. It is only fundamental to a man and a woman. period.

*** google and *** all those that oopose Proposition 8 .They clearly do not think. The marriage issue discriminates against single people straight or gay.Why elevate one more group to more benefits then any single person has? There already is enough discrimination in business against those that are single or don't have families.WE get stuck working wehn companies let those peope off for Holidays that have families,we can not choose who to leave benefits to,etc.,etc. Before you say this is ********* which many like googley that say NO,they do not care that it is just another affirmitave action type deal that puts another group ahead of the norm and is cearly discriminatory.Isn't it over half the people that are single in America? I don't think any married people shoud have any more rightsand benefits over single people. Oh you can share benefits, share insurance, pass inheritance on,etc.,etc. but me being single I can't do these things to someone I'm not married to????How the *** is that fair? IT IS NOT,UNTIL THESE ASSHOLLE GROUPS LIKE GOOGLE STOP TRYING TO DECIDE WHAT WE SHOULD ALL DO AND ABUSE THEIR POWERS THEY EARNED FROM US LITTLE PEOPLE ,WE SHOULD ALL BOYCOTT ANY AND ALL OF THEM...WAKE UP PEOPLE. EVERYONE SHOULD BE TREATED THE SAME...SADLY WE LEARNED IN AMERICA DURING THESE ELECTIONS,NOT EVERYONE IS TREATED THE SAME OR FAIRLY AND NOT EVERYONE HAS TO OBEY THE RULES AND LAWS,SOME GET A HELPING HAND AND ARE ALLOWED TO BREAK EVERY ELECTION LAW IMAGINABLE...THE MEDIA WIL ALWAYS TREAT PEOPE UNFAIRLY AND CALIFORNIA IS THE WORST IN HUMAN RIGHTS AND TREATING ALLL PEOPLE FAIRLY. WHEN YOU BRING UP ONE GROUP ABOVE OTHERS NO MATTER WHAT REASON YOU CLAIM TO DO IT,YOU ARE DISCRIMINATING AGAINST ALL OTHERS THAT YOU DON'T HELP,OR AS IN CALIFORNIAS CASE ALL THE OTHER GROUPS YOU CONSTANTLY TRASH . BIGOTS MUCH?

Google has taken a courageous stand against discrimination.

GOOGLE has taken one more step to create more discrimination and to elevate one group over others. When you decide to protect your special interest groups all of a suden those groups can do no wrong , especially in the MEDIA's eyes. We have seen it countless times in the past,it happens millions of times a day in the work place. That is the true discrimination that google and the media push forward more and more everyday and we the peope lose more and more freedoms because of google. You are not even allowed to disagree today with any groups the MEDIA deems special. What a load of crap. Everyone is supposed to be created equal, don't tell googe and the MEDIA that because they have decided YOU are a second class citizen.

Kwasiowusu:

Hey ******,can you honestly say giving more rights to you selected group of peope like google wants to do is fair to all the other people that do not get these benefits? That's ike you saying one persons color gives them more rights then another..Even though we saw this was true in the elections it is not fair and is supposed to be what anyone that professes progressiveness should be against. You sir are a bigot, just because the MEDIA says your brand of bigotry is acceptable doesn't make it right. You just said past social norms are now looks down on as wrong..your social norm of deciding one group is better then another or one man's coor makes him better then anothers is wrong. You aso said breaking of laws was wrong but not the marriage issue. I agree with people being abe to practice their religion or their sexua preference they choose that is their right, but I am opposed at giving someone more rights then me because I am not gay or married. If you want to be fair take away all special benefits for marriage away from everyone. The only thing i think should be allowed is things that would benefit babies but you want fairness take away anything and everything so a mrried coupe has no more rights or benefits in anything over a singe person then it is a fair. Go have your marriage then more power to you and your partner.I agree as you said about breaking laws but why is it ok that you savior you voted for was allowed to break every elections law possible? Why was he given special treatment because of color then the other people running? Their were in the end 2 people running under the MEDIA's "chosen ones" party that they are biased for and they discriminated against the other party. How is that fair? Of those 2 people the MEDIA constanly trashed the one based on color and sex,I am shocked that you weren't outraged by this?!?!?!?! This was so not very Progressive at all...To elevate one based on color and then trash another group based on coor and sex is exactly what RACISM is and you have no problems with that do you? yeah very progressive......... Actually it is VERY PROGRESSIVE at least the NEW definitiont the PARTY stands for now... I think it has stood for that for quite awhile now , only now some peope are finally seeing it and are digusted by it. end of rant you bigot

" The word marriage never appears in the bible. Jesus never performes a marrage. (sic)"

The fact that Jesus never performed a marriage has nothing to do with His stance on homosexual relationships, and even a cursory reading of Scripture will reveal that God, who created Man and Woman, doesn't like it when Man decides he is going to do things his way, and not God's way.

Jesus, however, did attend at least one wedding, and helped them have a blow out with the extra wine He created from water. Jesus knew how to have fun!

So, have a glass of wine and stop complaining. Marriage is for a man and a woman, and should not be altered to allow deviants to use it to proclaim their "love" (lust) for one another.

Common guys, check this up. The former Miss world Aishwarya rai has married a tree. Then she went ahead and married a film star. But I am not sure they registered the marriage. She didn't divorced too I guess. So she end up having two husbands.

Isn't that awesome forward thinking.. I think google should have funded it...
