Trouble finding SNL's Sarah Palin skit or Olympic spots on YouTube? That's because NBC has come up with a template for defeating such infringement, its general counsel says.

So they're celebrating that people went to their site (which uses silverlight by the way) instead of youtube? Why don't they just post official versions of their shows on youtube.com with embedded advertising? They already do that all the time...it's called syndication, and that's where all the re-runs go. the way to beat piracy is not by preventing people from watching your shows, but to offer them a better alternative. Having your own site, at your own cost doesn't make sense. Use the existing infrastructure. Those who refuse to load _yet_another_resource_hungry_piece_of_bloatware_ aka Silverlight will thank you.

Great, Hulu really seems like a great, legal, high quality alternative to youtube's videos... unless of course, you are not living in the United States... cuz Hulu just won't let you watch any content, if you are not living in the States!!
