Use the following checklist to evaluate an offer of a "Free eBay Success Kit":
1. Is it truly free? (Pay strict attention to the small print, the "Privacy Policy, and User Agreement) Fact is most of these companies require you to pay a small shipping/handling charge, then stick your credit card with charges every month afterward between $29.00 to $59.00.
2. What do they actually provide? Most of these "free" kits are nothing more than a piece of paper with some non-relevent information, or a CD with publically available templates.
3. Do they require a credit card? In my book, if it's free, it should be free. NO CREDIT CARD NUMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO GET "FREE" THINGS! PERIOD!!
4. DO they have a satisfactory BBB record? Most of these companies try to sell you packages after your initial purchase. My advise: If the company doesn't take you to the Better Business Bureau and show you their track record...STAY AWAY!
5. If they offer coaching or mentoring programs are the coaches Certified by eBay? If they are not Certified by eBay...STAY AWAY!
6. Do they offer any kind of guarantee on your investment? If they dont offer a full guarantee covering your entire initial investment...RUN FROM THEM!
7. Do they offer any kind of market analysis tools/software? The scam companies cant afford to offer real, eBay licensed software and tools.
8. Do they have a website? Seems simple, but the scam companies business plan is to fleece as many people as possible and disapear. A website may help indicate a legitmate company, but not always.
9. How long has the company been doing this? Look for longevity, companies that have been around generally have demostrated they can produce successful home-based businesses using ebay.
MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION:
The following company, Internet Auctions Solutions has been around for more than 10 years, offers a true FREE eBay Starter Kit, has Powersellers on staff, has 100% eBay Certified Coaches, and has a favorable Better Business Bureau record.

There are so many companies offering these "Free eBay Starter Kits", some are good MOST are bad. I hope that you can learn from my mistakes and make informed decisions.

- I am often asked about the "Free eBay Success Kits" you see advertised on the web. My answer about these is always the same. There are some companies that do offer free eBay Starter Kits that are for real. You just need to have the information necessary to properly evaluate them and know which ones are the real deal.
